location could not be better, especially if you are arriving by train as the hotel has an entrance in the station.Champagne bar is very nice.Very handy for The Merchant City and its array of great bars and restaurants.
Top Tip
Head to the Merchant City, fantastic for a night out. If you are going further afield you can access the Glasgow underground system from the lower level platforms of central station without even going outside. very handy

Fabulous clean and comfortable stay. Small problem with smell from bathroom was sorted out when we went for dinner and was gone when we got back. Staff friendly, helpful. Stayed twice and will definitely go back again and definitely recommend anyone visiting Glasgow to stay there. Can't fault location - handy for bus, taxi and trains and underground. Hotel is so central for all of Glasgow.
Top Tip
Hotel is so central for all of Glasgow - we ate out every night because it is so central and there are loads of good restaurants and loads of shopping and the night atmosphere is good.

Room of a high standard. The front steps leading into the hotel one step is higher than the rest. Anyone who has walking difficulties may be caught out by this. Could be made safer by installing a bannister and highlighting the step.
Top Tip
Bus tour round Glasgow and a visit to the City Chambers.

Great hotel in the center of glasgow.
We got an upgrade to an executive double which was impressive and spotless.
Staff could not be more helpfull, would stay here again. Everything within walking distance, could not be more central.

The hotel was lovely, well decorated and furnished. The champagne bar was extremely busy all day and night and impossible to get a seat. Tempus restaurant was fantastic, great food and good value. Only 2 negatives, one is the noise, due to its location at Central station the trains, taxis the noise is constant and we only got 2 hrs sleep despite being on the 4th floor. I'm amazed they didn't put in soundproof windows as part of their re-furbishment. Final moan is the breakfast room, they could not accommodate the numbers so we, plus many others, had to wait in another area as the breakfast room is too small for the number of rooms. I would suggest they ask guests at check in to book a slot for breakfast to avoid this. Other than that, lovely hotel.

Head to Merchant City, lots of bars and restaurants and shops to suit all tastes, only a 10min walk from the hotel.

Beautiful hotel, lovingly restored... BUT: don't expect to get much sleep. The building faces the main taxi rank for the city on one side (thru huge single glazed windows) and the main station on the other. Just as night club revellers finally secured the last taxis around 5am the station is preparing to open and commence the once a minute tannoy announcements...
Top Tip
Take ear-plugs. Location is perfect. You can walk to everything. I think requesting a room facing the station, or on the Hope St side would be advisable. Either than or stay out till 5am clubbing!!
